Islamic-Christian musical dialogue

Islamic-Christian musical dialogue

Born into a family of generations of musicians, Nishat Khan is a world-famous player of the sitar, who lives according to the teachings of Sufism. The Saint Ephraim Men’s Choir has been researching and promulgating the musical heritage of the Byzantine and western branches of early Christianity for a decade now. When Nishat Khan and Tamás Bubnó met, they realized that both parties would relish, and welcome the challenge of, a live performance that outlines and embraces a special musical dialogue between Islam and Christianity-something of particular relevance today.Nishat1
