A virtuozitás titka
Pécs, Széchenyi tér - Opera Cuvée Színpad
Festival concert

Opera fantasias, movie soundtracks and well-known Hungarian melodies – will feature on the concert show with the virtuoso Jávorkai duo, Hungarian virtuosity and many surprises on offer.

The Jávorkai Brothers are a virtuoso duo of brothers playing the violin and the cello, boasting several professional awards and prizes, and enjoying international reputation.

Dynamics, inventiveness, technical confidence, deep musicality - these are the qualities highlighted by the critics. Sándor and Ádám were born into an internationally renowned family of musicians in Győr, Hungary. Sándor took his first violin lessons from his father at the age of three, and by the age of five he has already performed with success. His similarly acclaimed brother Ádám plays the cello. They both graduated from the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, also pursued doctoral studies in musicology. They were the first foreign performers to be awarded the title of the Young Musician of the Year in Austria for two consecutive years, in 2009 and 2010. Their album released by Gramola, won the CD of the month award. The brothers have enjoyed unbroken success, and performed recently in concert halls like the Musikverein Wien, Konzerthaus Berlin, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Art Center Soul and Opera City Tokyo. The Jávorkai Brothers have already conquered the Far East, with their latest recording on Tokyo’s NHK television viewed over 8 million viewers.
