Kobayashi Ken-ichiro
Ken-ichiro Kobayashi is one of Japan’s most well known conductors. Among the many orchestras he has appeared with are the Czech Philharmonic, Slovak Philharmonic, Hungarian Philharmonic, Amsterdam Philharmonic, Netherlands Philharmonic, Arnhem Philharmonic, Moscow Philharmonic, and NHK Symphony Orchestras. He has also conducted the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony and Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestras on their European tours.
Medveczky Ádám
He was born in 1941 in Budapest. After studying at Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music, he graduated as a teacher of percussion instruments and solfeggio in 1962.
Terdik László
As a media expert and editor for the Bartók Radio, László Terdik has contributed to the boradcast of several classical music concerts and operas as well as Eurovosion and Euroradio live stream programmes.
Bogányi Tibor
Conductor Tibor Bogányi gained international attention in 2002, when he was appointed head conductor of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra at the young age of 28. Since then, he has begun his sixth season as artistic director and head conductor at Lappeenranta City Orchestra. He has also held the position of head conductor at the Pécs Philharmonic Orchestra since 2011.
Ókovács Szilveszter
Opera singer, television executive, general director of the Hungarian State Opera. After completing his musical studies at the Ferenc Liszt College of Music in Győr, where he qualified as a teacher of vocal soloists, Szilveszter Ókovács went on to study opera singing at Budapest's Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
Berkes Kálmán
Before graduating as a clarinettist from the Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, Kálmán Berkes studied under the tutoriate of Béla Kovács, György Kurtág, András Mihály, Albert Simon and Frigyes Sándor. His professors in conducting were János Ferencsik and Giuseppe Patane.
Alpaslan Ertüngealp
Alpaslan Ertüngealp was born in Istanbul, where he graduated from the German School and continued his studies in Budapest at the Franz Liszt Music Academy. He is regarded as an outstanding representative of the Hungarian School of Conducting. He is the founder and artistic director of Szolnok International Conducting Masterclasses, which is hosted by the Szolnok Symphony Orchestra and is held annually in the Szolnok region (Southeast Hungary).
Kesselyák Gergely
He was born in Budapest in 1971. He graduated from Piarist Secondary School of Budapest in 1989, and obtained his degree in conducting at Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music as a student of Ervin Lukács in 1995.
Eötvös Péter
Composer, conductor and teacher: the Hungarian Peter Eötvös combines all three functions in one very high-profile career. Born in Transylvania in 1944, he has long been considered one of the most significant and influential personalities on the music scene as both an internationally recognized conductor and a composer of successful operas, orchestral works and concertos, written for well-known artists from all over the world.
Lesley Rosenthal
Rosenthal graduated from Harvard Law School and received her undergraduate degree in philosophy from Harvard College, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. An accomplished violinist, she co-founded the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony. She has performed chamber and orchestral music in the United States and Europe.
Antonio Moral
Born in Cuenca, Spain, 1956, he founded the prestigious Scherzo Music Magazine in 1985, of which he was its first Director until 2001. He was also Managing Director of the Scherzo Foundation from 2001 to 2005.
Kocsár Balázs
Balázs Kocsár was born in Budapest in 1963. He studied composion at Bela Bartok Music School before starting his choral and orchestral conducting studies at Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, as a student of István Párkai and Ervin Lukács, respectively. He got his first class honour degree in 1991. After attending several master courses of Helmuth Rilling, Jorma Panula and Péter Eötvös, Kocsár finished his extended studies at Vienna Music Academy, under the guidance of Prof. Karl Österreicher.
