From nearly 100 applicants, the professional jury selected 14 outstanding young pianists to advance to the live rounds of the Liszt Ferenc International Piano Competition in Pécs. Coming from different parts of the world, they bring diverse musical traditions, individual artistic voices and unique interpretations – and in September, they will all take the same stage.
You can already get a first impression of their artistry through these short video excerpts, selected from the recordings submitted for the competition’s online round. These performances offer a glimpse into the musical worlds that earned each contestant a place among the final 14.
