Renowned professor Hannfried Lucke from the Mozarteum University Salzburg will perform in Debrecen at the Night of the Organs! Raised in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, Lucke pursued his musical studies at the Freiburg University of Music, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and the Conservatoire de Genève. He holds the highest church music qualification, the "A exam," as well as a concert organist diploma.

Between 1989 and 1991, he was a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). His awards include the Austrian Ministry of Culture Prize (1991) and the Premier Prix from the Conservatoire de Genève (1993). His concert tours and radio recordings have taken him to the United States, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and most European countries. Many of his recordings have been critically acclaimed.

In 1997, Lucke was appointed professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, and in 2000 he became organ professor at the Mozarteum Salzburg. He regularly gives masterclasses across Europe and the United States and serves as a jury member in organ competitions.
