A truly French dessert, the opera cake similarly to the famous Hungarian “zserbó” is a classic creation. Our tantalized taste buds can hardly await the opening of the curtains and the beginning of the performance. However, no cake is quite as enjoyable as the music of the legendary composer Rameau and his French Baroque arias. "Rameau is a member of the club of the greatest," says György Vashegyi, and his music becomes even more delightful with the angelic singing voice of Cyrille Dubois. The genuine performers of early music, the Orfeo Orchestra and the Purcell Choir, guarantee an evening of soaring and dramatic tension on 17 November at the Kodály Centre in Pécs.
