Ildikó Kertész is an outstanding exponent of the Hungarian early music specialists. She studied with Zoltán Gyöngyössy,Konrad Hünteler,Christoph Huntgeburth and Marten Root in Budapest and in Germany (Münster,Berlin,Bremen) Ildikó Kertész is flute soloist with the Orfeo Orchestra and member of Ensemble Campanile. She has performed in concerts and on recordings with the English Baroque Soloists,La Stagione,Concerto Köln,Capella Coloniensis,Capella Savaria,Festetics Quartet and Ensemble Les Adieux. She has a number of solo and chamber music recordings to her credit (Flute sonatas by Kleinknecht and Krebs,the „Sun“ quartets by Haydn,Quintets by Mozart). She is a regular guest at Early Music Days in Vác and Cascade Head Music Festival in Lincoln City (Oregon, US). She has given masterclasses at the Juilliard School (New York), the Curtis Institute (Philadelphia, US) and the Rice University (Houston,Texas)
