As the Assistant Conductor of the Bochumer Symphoniker, and recent invitations to work with Maestros Bernard Haitink and Kurt Masur at the prestigious Lucerne and Aurora Festivals, Henry has gained a reputation as a passionate, rising young conductor. Along with continued work with orchestras in America and China, this last season has seen Henry conducting with the Brandenburger Symphonkier, new music ensemble Lux NM and Bochumer Symphoniker. Henry has premiered more than a forty new works from small ensemble works with multimedia and choreographed contemporary dance numbers, to full orchestra and concerti repertoire. As an opera conductor and coach, he has conducted and played in productions of Candide, Die Fledermaus, Dialogues des Carmélites, La Boheme, Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni. Hao-An has studied at Eastman School of Music, Georgia State University, Indiana University and at the University of Arts Berlin.
