On the 28 February at the concert of the Székesfehérvár season ticket we will welcome the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra on the podium of the Vörösmarty Theatre. Conductor Kálmán Berkes does not like self-serving, theatrical flinging and arm swinging: "Conductors do 80% of their work in rehearsals, so it is very important that they instruct and feel the orchestra very well." While Berlioz's opening piece evokes a carnival atmosphere, Dohnányi's Variations on a Children's Song, by Adam Baross, with its smiling, youthful lightness, and the sound of falling white snow, brings us a little more of Christmas, peace and the beauty of snow-covered nature. And the concert ends with Tchaikovsky's often poignant, melodic piece, a perfect way for the conductor to show his talent for expressing emotion through music.
